  1. As a Life Member of Indian Medical Association, actively participated in arranging Free Medical Camps, Blood Donation Camps, Eye Camps, Family Welfare Camps & Flood Relief Camps for catering to the needs of the deprived section of the society.
  2. As Medical Advisor to National Era Association of Educated Self Employed Youth, NAESEY, (a well known NGO of Chennai that promotes self-employment opportunities among educated unemployed youth of the society); took active part in programmes aimed at training educated youths to serve the society by channelizing their creative abilities; and honing their already acquired education, so that they could serve the humanity and the nation with dignity & self respect.
  3. Organised and conducted health awareness program at Block, Panchayat & Village levels for educating youths in various areas of health care , i.e. Family Welfare, Hygiene, Family- Planning & Nutrition.
  4. As a life member of Indian Medical Association, took a leading part in all health related welfare activities of I.M.A.
  5. As active member of social clubs, organised various programs aimed at personality development of school-going children.

  1. Adopting single window system complied and cleared 500 court cases (CWJC & MJC) related to pre and post retiral benefits of teaching and non-teaching employees pending for last 20 years.
  2. Cleared promotion of teachers in various grades under time bound and merit promotion statutes pending for last 15 years.
  3. Cleared pensions to retired employees by organizing pension shibirs.
  4. Formation of research and development cell and college education cell in each college under the university to promote quality teaching and research work.
  5. Centralized admission in Post-graduate classes.
  6. Increase in intake capacity as per XI plan guidelines of UGC.
  7. 3rd Annual Convocation of the University.
